San Pedro Mould on cut

Recommended Posts

Pruned my San Pedro last month, and made a fairly angular cut. Still appears to be some mould, thanks to all the rain we've had lately. Do I need to treat this? It looks like it might be stabilising. If so, what with? I thought about painting on a little vinegar...

hey dude i wouldn't worry too much about this. i've seen it happen to my pedros too after a bit of rain. one thing you can do though is make all cuts on an angle. this will prevent water from pooling which can cause rot.

peace.

Also trim the edges (about 3mm all the way around). This kind of mold is common though.
