heteropterus angustifolia ?

Recommended Posts

still trying to id vine i thought was stigmaphylon sp.

heteropterus angustifolia description at yamina rare plants sounds similar but no pic.

googling gives heteropterus as a butterfly and as a fish so i think the spelling could be wrong or something.....anyone help?

ah,heteropterys.....looking further.....one common name is butterfly.....

yes, this appears to be the one i have seen.....sent t some wings years ago....reported traditional use as sedative makes it even more interesting than just its appearance and relationship.....and indicates its safe to use.....antiviral?

ah, that's where it came from! Thanks!!

The seeds were extremely viable and the plant propagates readily from cuttings.

It does have a little bit of fluorescence under blacklight triggered in the same conditions as caapi vine, so harmaline/harmine is a distinct possibility, albeit in smaller percentage.
