KK & other mislabled cactus web page

Question

I am in no way bagging out Knize about any identification, but I thought this web page was quite informative and gives some good data in relation to the collection of the KK and other incorrectly identified strains.

The web page can be viewed HERE there are many many pages on this site that might be helpful to a lot of people..for instance a lot of the pictures are links to other pictures and other articles..some of it is wanky but some is of benefit. If mods think it inappropriate then feel free to remove it.

Personal feelings aside..is the information correct..I mean I found the Cuzcoensis Peruvians information very helpful. For people who are really trying to understand and learn identification there just isn't anything around that gives clear concise information with pictures etc...it's a total nightmare to find out whats what..trying to piece it all together from various forums is no help as it usually ends up in an argument.

Hunab, see my post #33 in the T. cuzcoensis thread where I touch on some of what you're looking for. Also check out post #26 and post #9 in other threads.

So Michael do you agree that the white spined green variety is Cuzcoensis and the bluer orange spined or coloured spined can not be ever Coscoensis but more likely to be Peruvians...?

from that web page..can we confidently use that as a marker when id'ing them...?

the spine color is not so ideal a trait, as has been noted the tarma plant is quite like the common 242 in visual terms, it can take some experience to tell them apart, but one is active more often than not and the other is inactive more often then not.

The guy at that website has a goal of making money by selling you cactus, not a goal of accurate information. He is good at growing but many of his assertions are plain old bullshit and most of the ones that are not are just his opinion and not right or wrong.
