Yeti101 Posted January 8, 2009 I figure these are some sort of Nymphaea, maybe N. alba or N. candida. (Or maybe I'm wrong, I can accept that ) Any ideas? I'm keen to harvest some of these and an ID would be useful.
0 Torsten Posted January 10, 2009 are they floating or stalked? The stalked ones are the tropical species, while the one close to the water are the temperate/cool ones. I got no effect from a few of the temperate hybrids that I have tried, however all the tropical ones seem to be active. As for species, I wouldn't bother trying to ID this one as almost all water lilies that are sold in australia are hybrids.
0 Undergrounder Posted January 31, 2009 Hey Torsten i picked up a bunch of Water Lilly flowers from the flower market, they have less petals than these ones, they're white, yellow centres, green tepals, but the stalks are like 50cm long. Do you think these are the tropical ones?

Floating at the time, though a drop in water has made them look more stalky. I snared one and have just sampled a little bit. Seems pretty active for me hehehehe (I feel great )
