Torsten Posted December 13, 2008 I doubt we will get these anytime in the next few years. I do not believe there is any genuine peregrina in australia and the import of Anandenanthera seeds is a customs prohibited drug import. There are two possibilities for peregrina seeds in oz. One is a tree in tropical qld somewhere which may or may not be the real thing. The best way of testing is to see if young plants can go dormant in cooler climates - without dying. If they can then they are not peregrina. The last time I was given seeds of this tree I did not manage to grow them. The other option is a tree at Recher's fruitspirit BG which does not appear to set any seed - which is atypical for colubrina and hence quite a possibility to be a real peregrina. Not much good though if it can't be propagated. Sadly the seeds/plants distributed by Rimbaud turned out to be colubrina and so has every other seed sample that has come my way.
