HELP! Plant attacked by invaing bugs!

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

my gnome friend has a nice little sally plant he's been trying to look after for a while now. After recently repotting the plant has been chomped by some insects. Gnome sprayed with bug spray (some stuff from woolworths, starts with ph or something)

Can someone please help!

I can imagine sally plants would be very sensitive to insecticides...

haven't got anything else to recommend but...

Unfortunatly she looks quite sick after the spray, not to mention the fact that the bloody bugs haven't died!

Spray it down with water to get the stuff off. Hand pick the bugs off or try safers soap, not sure what it would be called in oz, ask for a detergent type product that controls bugs at the nursery or something.

I used to use diluted dishwashing detergent on spidermites. Didn't hurt the plant at all, but I always sprayed it with water after bugs were dead.

Couldnt say, never had to use it before, that or neem oil works well. im not sure where you would get that either. the dishwashing detergent sounds like a good idea, especially if you spray down the leaves afterwards
