The Britannian Empire rules the world, but when an exiled prince and master strategist gains the power to command anybody to do his bidding, shit hits the fan as he tries to obliterate oppression. Mind games, strategy, politics, mech battles. Hellsing (Ultimate/OVA version) is awesome if you like literal rivers of blood in your anime. It's about an (immortal?) vampire who's loyal to a vampire hunting organization. An old enemy raises an entire army in an attempt to bring him down. Vampires, blood, nazis, more blood. Berserk is great, but pretty dark. It's about a dude with a sword bigger than himself, who becomes a member of a mercenary band led by a guy who dreams of becoming king. Medieval, war, berserking, politics, monsters. I'm currently watching Fate/Zero, loving it so far. A battle among mages for the holy grail commences, and each participant is able to summon a champion from the past to fight for them. Everybody has their own unique motivations and skills - but who will come out as the victor, claiming the holy grail and its omnipotent ability to grant one wish?
