i thought it always flowers this time of year. July is when i thought...

Anyway yeah the bush across the road from me is practically all longifolia.

IDing: Long phyllodes and circular flowers on sticks, pointy tips on leaves, smooth leaf edges.

Nice pics Greenhouse, I find it difficult to differenciate between floribunda, longifolia and sophorae. I think floribunda has thinner leaves/phylodes and sophorae has rounder tipped leaves/phylodes. Has anyone any info on the gland location? Can that be a determining factor ie. top/bottom of phylode. I have seen quite a few around Melbourne too.

Thanks alkron, actually looking at some other pics i took of the plant in pic 2 it may be just a large floribunda, actually not may - i'm sure the plant in pic 2 is a floribunda, good spotting!!!

i do believe the plant in pic 1, 3, 4 is a longiifolia, thick phyloide costal looking one!!,

sophorea may probably be one of longifolias closest matches, very hard to tell apart, almost maybe a subspecies

i don't know how to tell them apart though

They are some nice photos

Certainly looks like longifolia.

Here are some photos i took at the beach only a couple of weeks after

They were growing behind the first sand dune so extreme conditions as far as wind and & salt go.

Actually the wind had pushed them into submission that much, they looked like they were layering or growing prostrate. Some what different to park or garden grown ones.

Good call vs!!, its hard to get any literature on this rugged species, it grows litterally meters from the waters edge>

So unintentionally i just got my own question answered on someonelses thread,

Its a bad habit i know!! hehehe sorry elbarto.
