PhoenixSon Posted May 30, 2008 Thought i'd start a thread about what you can't import, Recently orderd vocanga africana and Helichrysum odoratissimum via overseas company and they were removed and replaced with a couple of letters asking for a permit, that i may or may not get, that may or may not let me the plant matter, and then charge me perhaps for the fumigation of the product. Not a happy chappy. Be sweet if everyone adds relevant info.
rahli Posted May 30, 2008 There is a site linked to AQIS where you can enter imports and their end use and it responds as to the conditions required to import. It is best to just stick to Genus entries as these respond better. Torsten Posted May 30, 2008 The ICON database is the ONLY reference anyone should use when deciding whether somehting is quarantine permitted. No point starting threads here about what is legal etc as this can change overnight. It really isn't difficult to use the ICON database. It si quite clear about which plant part is referred to and what the intended end use is.
