cactus ID please

Question

hi, im pretty new to cactus identification so was just wondering if i could get a second opinion on the cactus pictured below. I believe it is a Trichocereus pachanoi, a little pit scarred but is still healthy. thanks. :)

To me in this picture it looks like one of many Euphorbia species maybe

How many ribs- i can only see 5 maybe

Or a very sick Tri pach indeed!! i dont think so.

Cereus spp.

Note- NOT Trichocereus, it's called Cereus, they are totally different.

For ID purposes, the reason that it is eveident that this is a Cereus sp. is that it has flattened ribs. Trichocereus sp. ALWAYS have much fatter ribs and NEVER have the flattened ribs that can be clearly seen in the pics you posted.

Cereus peruvianus

hey thanks Micromegas after posting i actualy found this out my self by going and asking the owner.. funy what you achieve if you just try sorry for wasting any forum time. although while on the topic does Cereus peruvianus contain any mescaline i had read that yes it does in small doses and NO infact it has none of the desired alkaloids.? can anyone clear this up for me? thanks is this cactus desirable at all?
