0 Evil Genius Posted April 3, 2008 Hi, it looks like a very dehydrated Trichocereus Scopulicola! A little bit water could not hurt! bye Eg
0 jlyonia Posted April 3, 2008 Thanks EG - I have never seen a scop "in the flesh" before, but I thought they had no spines at all. This cutting looks as though the spines have been really closely trimmed off... A friend bought this as a pachanoi off ebay, but it doesn't really look like any pach I have seen before... J. 0 strangebrew Posted April 3, 2008 If the areoles are round and the skin feels really smooth it's a pach. Looks like one to me.

0 Evil Genius Posted April 3, 2008 (edited) Strangebrew is right! If it has been despined, it´s probably a Pach! I didnt considered that someone could had removed the spines. A Scop has a very unique skin texture! You can feel it with your fingernail! It feels like small dots, almost like braille! If it feels rather smooth, then its not a Scop! bye Eg Edited April 3, 2008 by Evil Genius
