gomaos Posted June 17, 2002 Don't know about yours tst but I've also got a question about an unsual morning glory. Now this one has been growing wild on my place since I moved here about a year ago. I've been ignoring it, even pulling some of it up because i thought it was the same variety that I had years ago when I still lived in the bush. The variety that NEVER bears seed. But this one has set seeds. In fact the seed pot were brown, ready to pick. But ALL the seeds inside are whitetish brown, there's not one normal looking one, like the dark purple colour. Now does this mean the seeds are no good or is it just the variety? My gnome wants to try some, but I told him to wait till I find out more. Has anyone ever seen such seeds? I'll try and germinate some....
theobromos Posted June 18, 2002 If it is only one flower that is unusual it is probably a program-reading error rather than a genetic change, so wouldn't be passed to the next generation. However, a tendency to error may be genetic.
