Random Revelations in Normal-Waking Reality...

Not necessarily revelations, just little moments or thoughts that get one pondering on the nature of reality or symbology that seems to reflect the world.

I make this post as a kind of live-diary thing of such instances for me to share and for anyone else that has had similar ideas.

I was talking about goldfish with a mate, about their two second memory. We were talking about them looking at mirrors and a friend said "do they even know they're looking at themselves" - as inocuous as the question was it sparked a deep thought about our nature as god seeing infinite reflections of himself in the environment around him, and got me to thinking that most of us goldfish with our 2 second memories are too forgetful to draw the bigger picture of who we are, to finally recognise our reflections in each iteration of ourself.

At some other time I thought of optical mice on a mirror infinitelye self-referencing themselves as some kind of symbol of god.

The other day I filmed a plastic bag get carried away by wind in a sort of mini-tornado, it just kept dancing with me for hours, and i felt as if it was god there, telling me, not to be afraid.

Then I filmed a dead bird...

I was reading something today about the often mentioned 'critical-mass' in new age or conservationist communities. It reminded me of a little thought I had yesterday and prompted this entire post...

Re: the critical mass needed for a global consciousness evolution. I was washing my dreads adding tiny bit by tiny bit of shampoo that would lather up nicely in one section of hair, each time a tiny amount was added that'd be enough for another small chunk of hair until the smallest addition was necessary and my whole head of hair would lather up nicely as if some kind of threshold was broken: My thoughts on the critical mass being a phenomenon present in everyday activities.

You know it! others are too shy or you are conditioned to the criticism of those who deny the revelations.

Nothing I see is separate from god (i have a feeling we need to update the syntax on that word), which implies that god has very strange and nebulous intent indeed. Of course this is merely a byproduct of the human history of language up until this point.

I cannot possibly communicate the weight of my perceptions, in relation to what lies beyond the illusory world we propagate.

It is my intent to make YOU (and me in the process) realise that you have only perused the first chapter in the introduction into what it means to EXIST.

I want you to question exactly WHAT abundance is

it has proven to be the strangest rabbit hole i have come across as yet.

I know this is off topic but wanted to add this

Im not saying that goldfish have more than a 2 second memory, but who decided that they do.??

Like a plant, a goldfish may(and im definately not saying they do) surpass the spiritual connections we have with nature as humans, they (and remember im not saying this is true) but they may not experience life one way or the other and live an absolutely perfect and in tune lifestyle where they dont dwell on things of unimportance like who am i and why am i here and only know bliss..??

We as humans believe that we are superior to all other animals(most of us anyways), but when it comes to the crunch, we are only animals and no different to the next!!, If placed in the right conditioned environment we will become just as the goldfish, remembering that which is important and not worying (or remembering) about anything else..

Like i dont know of any goldfish that when feeding wont come to the top of the tank (even before you put their food in) awaiting for the food to hit the surface of the water..

Is this a natural reflex? Or can they remember that for every night of their life they have been fed this way and thus can remember what is importand.. Goldfish in the wild and bottom feeders (just like carp) so it would be fair to assume that their natural reflexes would tell them to find their food at the bottom of the tank, and yet they still come to the top for their food.

Now i can hardly believe that goldfish have as much capacity for retaining information than a human, i mean they live for 1/10 in most cases of that of a human and naturally wouldnt need the capacity, but do you really believes that a goldfish forgets everything every 2 seconds?

Like one of my friends had about 7 goldfish in a tank and put in a juvenile bass that he caught in the hawkesbury river.. It only took a few minutes for the bass to figure out that the goldfish could be food, and the goldfish learnt quickly to stay well away from him or they would be food.. Since that day i have never seen the bass and goldfish on the same side of the tank and this made me believe that although some or most thoughts would only last 2 seconds the important ones remain because the fish needs them to live..

Maybe you are god(at least in this world) to the goldfish

Anyway's im rambling but am interested to hear others opinions..

its all relative i guess. maybe 2 seconds to us like a year to them.

sometimes 2 minutes can feel like 2 hours. All depends on whats happenin with your human or goldfish brain

that, and you can use those orange mesh bags oranges come in to make lil protective enclosures for your plants...turn upside down over 4 or 5 sticks taped to the outside of a pot or poked into the soil around the outside of the inside...if that makes any sense.

Anyway the goldfish thing was symbolic i guess, i meant that humans are much like goldfish with our low capacity for memory... compared to say computers, or data encoded within the stars that takes thousands of years to process (ye ole astrological precessions and stuff), or even larger systems than that that seem to make our ideas of memory truly insignificant, so in the Larger perspective, we are much like goldfish...

(was also thinking of our piss poor memories when repeating the same political mistakes and falling for the same shit all the time)

Keeping this metaphor swimming in my subconscious somewhere I was watching Myth Busters where they busted the 2 second goldfish memory myth and proved you can slowly teach goldfish to navigate through a maze. I figured why not continue the metaphor and extend it to think that maybe, just like the myth busters, there are higher intelligence forces guiding the way to help us navigate through this maze, and although we may keep bumping into the same shit over and over we'll slowly learn to remember shit and progress through the maze

Also reminds me of the song by Porno for Pyros - We'd make great pets. - thinking about higher dimensional alien intelligences owning us as pets... bastards.

i dunno, some of them are pure evil like Lord Xenu and some are pretty cool, like my old buddy JC and Buddah, really just depends who you listen to

I can't tell if you're mocking me or not, but I'm going to continue anyway.

I remembered the further meaning of the optical mouse allegory, that moving the mouse over a reflective surface would not move my cursor anywhere; implying that an observation of itself observing, a constant self-referecing loop of itself observing itself would mean it gets nowhere. I kinda thought too much self reflection means I'm not really doing anything or getting anywhere.

I hope others have random thoughts such as these and are willing to share, Too often a song or a reference or a conversation unveils a deeper truth, or an obvious truth, I like the idea of everything somehow managing to communicate to us, there is an irony or poetic justice in everything, sometimes murphies law sometimes miracles whatever the case, there are times that a coherent 'consciousness' or intelligence is part of the happenings in your environment as synchronous events unify mind/matter self/other and all that jazz.

It seems that things happen so that consciousness can reveal itself to itself. Not that things happen so that things happen, that makes no sense and doesnt fit in my meaningful model of morphogenetic, mindmanifesting ...mmreality... M-theory i call it :D

erm... It's a theory of reality, i guess it's been getting tested as soon as anybody came up with the idea. .. I should mention I didn't come up with this unifying theory I was just being a smartarse with my M aliteration. Much like the theory of darwinism or of Relativity or of Quantum Mechanics are theoretical constructs that we use to test reality, nothing is ever really 'certain' apart from repeatability and consensus opinion. However there've been enough repetitions of 'weird reality' to 'prove' what i've been looking for, in at least as much certainty as i'm sure of our physical constructs being any more than a working model we all agree to, and have such a degree of faith in that it seems impossible for it all to cease. ... seems... Although all change is gradual and I don't see any reason to alter physical laws, merely to transcend them.

yerr.. anyway I've got nfi what that cat means it's usually a 'calm the fuck down and stop flaming each other' signifier, which seems out of place here. I've got a kazillion of these random thoughts, I just want others to share, that is if they see reality through a similar symbolic sorta way. On the other hand these things only make sense on a personal level, although Ima thinking that it is precisely this kind of symbolic awareness of anything and everything that is meant to transcend personal experiences and connect us within a larger framework. I guess it's only when these revelations or synchronicities are collectively shared in a kind of telepathic ecstacy that One-ness is revealed.

A Psytrance track just told me "you're wasting your time", I'm just thinking outloud I guess, It's funny you mention Warrioe-Sage though, I don't want my efforts to be totally skim-read or skipped entirely because of non-sensical rambling, somebody please tell me if my whacko-tendencies turn me into an 'outsider' that nobody is really listening to. Meh Isn't all creativity self-indulgent anyway? This is essentially creative writing, building models out of sensory data.

Ive partaken in many of these quantum/spiritual/evolution/consciousness conversations and more or less they are circles of dialogue that start somewhere and end somewhere; but what does it change?

I reckon theres a point when youve had enough....but for me....I enjoy it.
