Mr Stay Puft Posted April 16, 2007 im pretty sure ceaspitosa is just a variety name for lophs that pup vigorously. as for differences in mesc content i dont believe it will be any different to the natural variation of the speicies. Also between the 'clumper' and 'carpet' it has something to do with genetics, but also something to do with cultivation. it is possible to remove a small heads off 'carpet' types, replanting it then removing pups it forms. this will cause the head to grow to a larger size and eventually flower. it is my understanding that all lophs have a little clumping nature in them, sometimes it just takes 50-100 years!
