sooooo any thoughts on that one covered in white apothecary?

is it its own growth or somthn else you think?

it was coming out of a fractured, decaying stump that was still upright and rooted, only two in there.

thanks guys, appreciate it!

Not to sure about the rest but #1 to #4 look like a death cap to me. There was an article in the local paper about them on the weekend. I think there were 2 people killed and like 12 or so hospitalised from eating them in the last couple of years locally.

Apparently if you do eat them you get digestive upsets, diaorrea, nausea, vomiting and them you start feeling better. Three days latter your dead from liver failure.

Nasty lil buggers!

I'd say the first few (plain white amanita looking things) are almost certainly death caps or destroying angels - so be very careful even playing with these. Both incredibly dangerous species - afaik, one small bite will easily kill a child, and quite possibly an adult.

Maybe have a look on mushroomexpert.com and try to ID them for yourself - I managed to ID some agrocybe's or something very similar using the ID tool they have, its very rewarding IDing a mushie for yourself - plus you tend to remember them better that way :)

Just be very careful and be sure to keep your hands clean after handling them, you never know if they contain an incredibly potent toxin or not
