This video provides the facts about psychotropic drugs and the huge profits they create for the pharmaceutical industry. These drugs are not safe and have not been on the market long enough to provide sufficient long term studies regarding their effects. These drugs do cause addiction, however most "doctors" would call this dependence because you do not have to take an increasing dose over time. They are completely fine with you being addicted to the same amount of any given drug on a daily basis. Over half of the people that commit suicide in the United States are prescribed to psychotropic drugs. (Ex: Paxil (Paroxetine), Zoloft (Sertraline), Prozac, Wellbutrin (Bupropion), Effexor, Seroquil, Ultram (Tramadol), etc.)

what came first, the chicken or the egg? the suicidal tendencies or the prescription to mind altering medication? i've had a similar discussion with a former acquaintance who said something like ''a lot of the people i know who use 'drugs' are mentally 'ill'', and i genuinely am curious to the answer.

this is a quote from my mum

Hi there, my Son took his life at 19, at the age of 11 he was first seen a by a Physiologist , as my beautiful Son was seeing triangles in front of the TV,

he escalated from there, at age 16, he was diagnosed with Schizophrenia.

During those years he was admitted to Private Hospitals on several occasions, and the last Hospital, was a Public Hospital, where he was treated by a young Specialist, they had a good rapport.

Sadly though with strong drugs, ECT(of any cure known ECT is the most effective).

As a Mother, I watched my Boy Die, slowly , sadly, to answer your question, he preceded, any Drugs, but I may add, something may have happened to my Son,

when he went away for awhile with the Christian Brothers, he came back a changed, Boy, a catalyst my have supersede the Disease, or it was purely coincedence.

The financial interests of biotech and drug companies have eroded the values of the medical profession and placed profit before human well-being. Big Pharma has a vested interest in keeping people sick.. just my take dionysus :)
