WTB Passiflora Incarnata

Recommended Posts

G'day guys

Just wondering if anyones got an over grown passionflower that they'll be pruning soon.

I'd love a cutting. The bigger the better. Obviously I'm happy to pay postage... And if you want to whack a small premium on for time and trouble, thats not a worry either

I haven't tried taking cuttings from mine before

Were you after a rooted cutting?

Hey coin,

A rooted cutting, or a sucker or something would be ideal mate.

But if i need to got through the hassle of trying to strike one then I'm willing to give it a go. I haven't ever done it before but I'm sure a few forum posts should get me there.

Apparently you need something called liquid rooter (he he sounds dirty huh  ).

hmm ok

well see if any other offers come up -- in the meantime i'll try to root a few cuttings -- not sure how long it will take. otherwise i can send a cutting whenever you want. but either way it will take a while to get enough leaf for you to harvest .. i'm guessing you're using dried herb & it's working to help alleviate your insomnia? :)

In the meantime check out your local chemist for nervatona it has a reasonable amount of P.Incarnata, otherwise you're welcome to some seed I have which I'll probably never get around to planting.

So many seeds such limited temporary space.

Hey coin I really don't want to put you out mate, if you could send me a cutting I'm sure I can strike it myself

Actually coin, I only threw the insommnia thing in there cause I couldn't think of anything else to put on that line. I'll definitely smoke a little now and then I think, but my main reason for wanting to grow it is for its vasorelaxant quality.

My GF is a diabetic and has recently found out she has the beginning stages of retinopathy (basically burst blood vessels in the eyeball) so my idea is that if she drinks incarnata tea during or after meals, when her blood sugar spikes, the dilated blood vessels will be better able to handle the glucose load which is straining them at the moment, its more of a supplement to her existing treatment than anything but after some research i'm fairly certain it will help slow the progress of the disease (I hope).

mescalito I'd love to take those seeds of your hands as a backup, mate.

I wish I could sympathise on the too many plants not enough room point, I'm just getting my own garden sorted after years of living in apartments. I wish I was out of room, then I might have some stuff to trade.

Just gimmie a couple of seasons

So whats the usual procedure do I just PM my poastal details, or send stamped self addressed postpack, or paypal you the cash, or something, just let me know and I'll organise.

Just pm me dude and we'll organise something.

On the retinopathy front,my dad is going through the same thing. He's had some photo's taken by a specialist and some laser surgery done.On one eye it seems to have don the job but the other one is still a bit iffy atm.

Worst thing is the illegality of cannabis esp. for diabetics as it causes the blood suger levels to drop and decreases intraoccular pressure.

In a time and place where it was tollerable I used to make him cookies and threw some kava powder in the mix as he suffers from bad sciatic pain and wasn't sleeping well as a result.

Worked a treat...just a shame I can't continue my research and help him in the process :(
