Hi folks, I have packs of seeds for sale. You won't get fresher than this, harvested a few days ago as the pods started to open but before the cockatoos got them all! Packs of 20 seeds -$7 Packs of 50 seeds -$12 Packs of 100 seeds -$20 Price includes postage within Australia. I can do international sales -add $5 aud for postage. These are an excellent strain, you won't be disappointed. Packs of 100 get a bonus pack of Acacia longifolia "active" seeds. This tree is very vigorous in it's growth, I have tree close to 6 metres high and nearly the same across that I started from seed less than 3 years ago. Please pm me for details. Thanks, Glaukus.

Hi all, I have noticed some damage happening on the phyllodes on my young A. obtusifolia's, on closer inspection i can see little mites & there tiny white faeces on the curled up underside of the phyllodes. I am curious to work out how I managed to get this little pest on my Acacias, as they only seem to be attacking them at the moment. I have all kinds of plants in the one greenhouse, cacti, broadleaved plants, orchids & other native plants like Brachychiton rupestre (QLD bottle tree) which are right next to the A. obtus & don't have a single mite on them! Can anyone recommend a good way to eradicate this pest? I have started to manually remove them, just by wiping them off but I would like to find a spray that has maximum death for pest minimal damage to my plants. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Cheers jox Here are some photos,

Went out for a camping trip with my wife and kids this week. Won't say where, but it was about 2 hours out of Sydney. What an awesomely mild summer we're having! Saw so many of these Acacia obtusifolia in flower. They were everywhere. It looked gorgeous! Thought I'd share a couple of pictures. Also found a little grove of these trees. Any idea what species?
