Disc clip / Gym / I am in deep shit / stims for acceleration
watertrade replied to mutant's topic in Chill Space
I have had two herniated discs since last Christmas which didn't get any better by just sitting around not doing much. I was doing some sporadic gym work and have pretty good all round muscle tone but I'm also overweight. L4/L5. And L5/S1 I also have unrelated issues with T7/T8... Over the last few months I have being seeing a osteopath. although I was a bit sceptic at first, she has made a big difference . She likes to use acupuncture and insists its based on real research and therefore not witchcraft as I suggested. I think any back problem can be helped by swimming, Swim like a mofo and your back will love you for it. If you find swimming too boring. Go for a swim in the ocean. ;) if it helps there must be lots of ethnobotanical ocean life to be discovered. Lots of seaweeds contain indole alkaloids for example. Lots of stuff will kill you too! Good luck, and don't suffer, get lots of medication from you doctors. -

To be honest i have never checked the default rate. There is no real benefit to being part of a group as far as i know other than the warm buzz of being part of a group. There is not a great deal to it really. I think there was a promotion where adding 'friends' would give extra credit. I really like it and am actually due to lend some of the re payments.

What's the most depraved thing you have ever done?
watertrade replied to Halcyon Daze's topic in Chill Space
I'm so glad i'm vego. my only experience with kangaroos was when a big kangaroo jumped in front of a few cars while driving to sydney. (hume highway) only me and a halal butcher stopped to finish off the kangaroo. -
Sacred Cacti 4th edition is in the process of going online
watertrade replied to trucha's topic in Cacti & Succulents
Thankyou Mr Trout. -
Hi Everyone, Regretable as it is, I have updated this thread to reflect and inform everyone of what happened recently with an online scam I fell for. Something I feel pretty stupid about in hindsight. But in my moment of weakness (had excess funds) I transferred funds to a stranger on the internet based only on his word. I have to make a point that the only information I have I know is 'real' is that there were accounts and emails setup with these people's names. And in the case of bank accounts either fake people or fake CBA bank accounts. I side with the bank on this one! The names below may not be the same people you know. So keep in mind there and many people with the same name. This is how it played out 'Cycad Nursery' joined the Shaman Australis Botanicals facebook page advertising they had some rare and exotic plants available which I have never had access to in Australia. I contact them, chat for a while about their products ( with a guy called Ben Ganley at [email protected] - living in QLD. I decide to transfer money into an Australian bank account. ( Dean Leto ) of yeppoon QLD, currently living in Rockhampton I believe. I continue the conversation with Ben Ganley and apparently the money has not arrived with the bank recipient. I call the bank who confirms the transaction was successful. I contacted A Dean Leto from yepoon who confirms he has been taking money and transferring it to Ben Ganley or a guy called Danni Guy Basically I keep speaking with both Ben and Dean and after a few days it becomes clear I'm never getting my money back or anything in return for it. I would still be happy to be proven wrong on this and would give full apologies for my haste to call a SCAM. ;) This all happened In the timeframe of the last two weeks, in the timescale of SCAMs this is ancient history but I thought I would bring it up just in case people are in a similar position with another scam ( google 'Ben Ganley scam' it seems to be a common name for scammers ) I'm not the only member here who was silly enough to fall for this pretty basic scam. And that's it Dean Leto of Rockhampton Ben Ganley of Qld And Danni Guy My original post said. Hi Everyone, I am resolving a purchase with Cycad Nursery ( as advertised on Facebook via SAB page). Is anyone else doing the same? Lets chat via PM

Destruction of NSW Acacia obtusifolia
watertrade replied to MORG's topic in Australian Native Plants
I was recently checking out some stands of obtusifolia that had been fully burnt out in the 2013 Sydney bush fires. I think in some cases the trees burnt out last year were what came up after the 2001 fires. Anyway they appear to have suckered from original trees given the size of the trees. On a positive note, some of the areas I have seen in Sydney have never looked better in the seven years or so I have been watching them. -
Thanks in_spirit, I have never done it but have wanted to educate myself in the basics of simple legal procedures. Hopefully never having to use them, but at least having some basics would be handy.

The bank was very helpful, they ran 'a trace and recall ' which basically sends a letter to the recipient and asks for their approval to reverse the transaction. As I approved the transaction and made an error either of judgment or typo, (in this case judgement) and the amount is under $100,000 the recipient is not obliged by law to give it back or even acknowledge the money is there. If I wanted to proceed any further I would need to make a small legal claim for the money. The amount ( and principle!) was significant enough to piss me off but not take it to court.

What is special/different about the super pedro
watertrade replied to gr33ntea's topic in Cacti & Succulents
They are very fat, I don't know where they sit in the species argument but consider somewhere between the love triangle of pachanoi, scopulicola and cordobensis. One of mine has started pupping giant pus at about the 7 foot height. In time it will topple over so I will need to cut the pups off. -
are you sure it's facebook? Give facebook.au a call and see what is going on.
