    Frankencereus graft

LMAO..This make me wonder if you could just graft a bunch of different species mid cuts exactly the same way and have a columnar Echinospsis collection in 1 cacti, with each representative graft producing its own species flower and seed.

    coca tea

from all the doco's ive watched on people from the Andes(nomadic people who give to their kids and themselves to deal with long walks at altitude and combat fatigue and hunger). and the Kogi, (who believe all men must eat cocoa leaves (along with rubbing a stick constantly(thought stick)), to 'civilize' them, so i don't think in any way, will you get 'charlie high', apart from maybe some slight euphoria and coffee like stimulation. They also directly attribute the coca leaf to being the secret to their longevity, where the average lifespan is said to be 100.

    Brisbane ethno meet

Yeah and it should be a SE QLD meeting in brisi so Gold Coasters can come too I would still love to go climb Wollumbin (Mt Warning) in Uki just out of Murwillumbah one day with a bunch of people from The Corroboree. But until then a Brisi meet will have to do. Count me In

    Maybe Monstrose? + Snail damage.

Is that redding a fungus? Did you cut it because it had rotted? if so i would cut more off with a sterile blade and diluted sulphur the cut.If any of my cacti had that red discoloration in them they would go straight to the plant underworld..... red or orange = REAL bad IMO black or white = annoying problem...black can be bad, but is controllable, as opposed to the red/orange which has decimated friends of mine cactus who loved their plants to much to bin them even when necessary.

Alice i cant wait to try some carbonated goodness + splinthanol...wonderful idea...
  7. jabes...i was also under the impression that the oxidization of THC was to CBN not CBD. It is compared to CBD anyway (anti psychotic also) as well as a few mentions of it 'cancelling' the effects of THC.... Also agree first and foremost cannibinoid ratios are primarily genetic. But how late you leave the harvest, environmental factors like wind (artificial or natural affecting the oxidization process), curing process all contribute to the "type" of high, and the final outocome of ratios. so you are both right IMO. The generalizations with hydro / bush are exactly that...generalisations, easier than explaining something i though we all knew about (again a gernalisation) hydro dominated indica or indica x sativa VS bush dominated sativa as mentioned. |and because of one i must now look into this "idica being CBD/CBN higher than sativa" shruman...that's why we are all posting here...to voice our opinions on plant related material, and accept the fact that a good enough scientific rebuttal may be provided to change mine/your opinions. indica/sativa hybrids with an intense couch lock influence, which indicates a high CBD content. So it makes no sense to say today's weed is sending everyone bonkers because of a low CBD content.\ I tend to agree about the couch lock, but if it is true about the high CBD(or CBN from oxidation of higher number of trichromes in the first place) in indica. then you are most certainly right jabes and have now left me and at the drawing board with my bush / hydro thoughts. Still tend to agree about synths being worse. And weighing or eyeballing half a gram of anyting from the JWH family is asking to have a massive anxiety attack. Im sure the recommended dose is MUCH smaller than that
  8. any one see the article floating around about one of the substances in the newest legal synth Kronic Black containing a fluorine molecule attached on the tail of the compound?...pretty much just to circumnavigate the law too cant remember where i read it but it certainly struck me as concerning. faustus is right, and the originals(JWH series) more than likely weren't designed for human consumption, and he probably had nothing other than creating something of beneficial application in mind, but once people found out they could roughly reproduce the effects of pot by consuming them, and the government started banning them. The dodgy rat race to stay one step ahead of the law started and things like flourine molecules started appearing in the compounds. I tend to think none of this would have happened had cannabis been legal from the start, and the synth cannabinoid industry would be able to develop as purely a medicinal industry, rather the the one it is today, targeting young misinformed people with the way they package, market/advertise and conceal its ingredients. Not to mention the possibility of synergistic effects from the combinations of synthetics, even from across different structural groups, as many of these new fancy ""blends" contain. Thats why the are called blends aren't they?. I don't think they are blends of anything other than synths, and the only flora in the packet is marshmallow leaf? C_T....i don't know enough to say if synths are 'bad', but they are worse than pot IMO, and more research needs to be done on mary jane, sythns and mapping and understanding the full CNS. We don't know enough about any of it IMO Marijuana is one of the oldest ethno's, yet there is still so much to understand, but the legal status, and thus moral view of it worldwide makes it difficult.

Spilanthes Acmella oleracea Tooth ache plant

lmao.... this is one of my fav plants, and is my personal favorite to give to friends and family with little or no interest in ethno / botany. Funny to see them salivating like crazy and dribbling everywhere. Has induced a good load of laughter between me and apprehensive mates. I give them buds to try and it 'zings' the whole mouth out, as opposed to proper ayurvedic use, where leaves would be applied directly to irritated or painful teeth/gums, to directly target a specific area of the mouth. Mine was also the plain yellow type, and one of the few plants i have had trouble with through SE QLD hot humid summers.was booming through winter though.

    Fruit of Cereus monstrosa

Are you in Greece mutant? i think i remember seeing some pictures of some wild Cereus peruvianus of yours in Greece, but don't recall seeing any monstrose in amongst em. On a side note I found this Next to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary the other day when i was taking an injured blue tongue in. Serious Cereus? All the black things scattered at my feet are old dead flowers....hundreds of em literally. Excuse my ugly bare chest, but i'm 178cm tall, so it gives you an idea of how freaking huge this thing was.

    Ethno Xmas Trees

Darkspark you should see my mugwort then.....its stem is almost as thick as my wrist......it had reached 2.6 meters when i pruned it (apparently they grow to 2m and 2.4 in extreme cases ) and is supporting (ive cable tied them to it) about 4 massive grosse lisse tomatoe trees lol, so it could easily hold 8kg worth of decorations IMO on second thoughts.....it was probably my mugwort your referring too ...you should see it these days. the potted ones (the types to make "living" Christmas trees from) arent nearly as big, but the one in my veggie patch is out of control.

    some slow growers

    cactus trouble

yeah keep it seprated now it has it, but i wouldn't try and cut it out either....as said most TBM's (all mine anwyay) have some serious battle scars, and generally recover. With most monstrose forms, and TBM in particular, i hold off watering until about a month later when i give the cut a tiny little "wiggle" to establish if it has shot any roots yet. If it provides any 'resistance' to the wiggle, then it has at least some roots, and can start to be kept wet through summer(southern states), but up there in Brisi(or Goldy for my point), is too humid often, so id only water once dry up here, unless you want it to look more like a soldier. are there 2 types of TBM? or are they the same, with the southern grown ones tending to be as thick as my arm, where as those grown in northern humid states look more light green and etiolated?

    Some tricho's from the garden

What a spectacular penis jack! it made me No12 almost looks like that ''boobies'' (Geo?) cactus everyone has been getting lately. Except it looks more like a tricho with boobies.

    Psychoactive Saffron (Crocus sativus)

So 60mg Codein Phosphate(2 pills), 1g paracetamol, and 40 threads, will make me feel like im rocking 120-180 mg of codein? in theory i could take 1 instead fo the normal 2 codein....like 20 threads...and get a full 60mg hit from the one 30mg pill? Heard anything about long term usage Torsten? Saw up to 1,5g was safe for use, but i wonder if i could use 100mg daily for a prolonged period. I want to potentiate the codein without too much/no effect from the safrole...is it possible?

    Analgesic Ethnobotanicals

amanito...avoid that red wine whilst on kava kava, as it has been proven to be bad for your kidneys anyway, and mix some alcohol with it and your just asking for cirrhosis!

    Importing T.pachanoi crestate

dam bit.... anyone keen on shelfing a 3inch Tricho Pach crest? de-spined inside a little rubber johnny..... it just might be possible... lotta love for a cactus though...and if it bursts mid flight, i don't know how a mes trip at 25 000 feet on a protected public service would go. I'm surprised Torsten has not got involved with this?... He loves his cacti as much as any of us, and is trichos too, and probably has more dealings with AQIS and quarantine than all of us put together lol. Yo Torst ....you got a quarantine station down at Wandjina mate? We just wanna fill it with Tricho Pach crests for 6 months, and have quarantine come out and inspect regularly lol

    Occupy Melbourne Occupy Australia

Great to see 7Baz...and every single one of your points / thoughts are exactly the root of all our problems. These are the exact same i deals i would most certainly peacefully protest against. Next time your jumping around with OCCUPY, let us know and ill make an effort to get up there with you. On the note of the sign. Do it! and if it wont all fit, make a bigger one and ill help you hold it.....fuck it...just make it like 12x 4 foot and a bunch of us will hold it!

    new forum software

I lost my shit at this Marcel lol. Cyber-junkies! At least we are an educated bunch for the most part, and therefore can practice harm minimisation techniques whilst on our journeys. Wasn't the option to log on with facebook available in the old version? i think i saw something about it but never used it. Facebook is facebook and the Corroboree is the Corroboree. No need to mingle them up IMO

    Acacia podalyriifolia

Actually now a pest in QLD i believe? I know the council rip em up in my area around SE QLD
  24. 2Deep2Handle

    unknown acacia

im no acacia pro by any means, but Acacia aulacocarpa is found from North to south east coast Acacia disparrima and concurrens are native to SE QLD and Nrth NSW All look like holosericea (from northern Australia), but perhaps with slightly narrower phyllodes on them all, so i would probably also tag it as holosericea. Being in Brisbane, is might be worth having a look at concurrens and disparrima as well. I find acacias amongst the hardest to ID
