Since i brought my pilosocereus down in my basement over the winter, something odd happened. It's on the tip of 3-4 spread thorns (not in one special place on the cactus) It's like a shell or a cocoon of a very small animal/parasite. And I'm wondering if you lads have ever seen it before, or if I should go get some pesticides or not Some pic's as well (digital microscope 136x zoom)

With the "thread" + the "egg" about 2-3mm, and compare the thickness of the thorn in the first pic, then you'll have a pretty good perception of how it is! Thanks' for the good answer Amazonian! Sounds awesome... Eat them damn whiteflies! I find it very cool that it's on the tip of a thorn

pilosocereus.... do they have any, alkaloid contents? I have a very similar cacti, would be good to know if I should let it be half neglected... or make it's growingconditions a bit better

Hello! I'm new to cacti and this forum, but i can see here's allot of knowledge! So I'm hoping you guys can help me tell what species this is? There are 2 different plants! One of them i bought just because it had the deadliest spines iv'e ever seen.
