The perfect SHAMANIC RESIDENCE ....
Amazonian replied to Chrissy Star's topic in Sustainable Technologies & Ethical Living
Adding to the great recommendations above... I would have to say koi in the ponds, and bright flowers like frangipani, hibiscus, heliconia, magnolia, jasmine etc... Some of which are chosen for their scent. The skys the limit really, where do you stop. You could have fruit trees /berries/ grapes etc... -

Amazonian replied to upside's question in Cactus & Succulent Identification
Lol. I didn't even realise cubism had added a link for books, I thought it was his signature, and the arrows up in the post meant he wanted to know where to get the literature from also. Lol. I need glasses. -

I got it this time.... Spined Soldier Bug . Podisus maculiventris , a beneficial insect. Also known as a stink bug. The nymphs look quite different to the adults. http://entnemdept.ufl.edu/creatures/beneficial/podisus_maculiventris.htm The eggs remind me of sea urchins.

Maybe the water is too hot and killing the embryo?...just a thought. You can use boiled water but not after scarification, I think thats how it goes?. I recall removing the seed coat on some A. phleb' seeds after a few days soaking, then planted them and they sprouted, but didn't survive much longer after that, Doh.
