Iboga Seedling Seed coat Question and Advice (Slightly Image Heavy)
planthelper replied to newageshaman's topic in Ethnobotany
newageshaman, would you mind if I add following tag: pericarp removal, stubborn seedcoat removal here is the drawing, it's easy the wedge/vice like grip of the wood blocks acts like the seed head is still under ground. eventualy the embryonic leaves will pull themselves out of the coat! but, I am sure one can use many other materials as well, I am a wood man that's why. comes to think of it now, blue tag would to a good job as well, if not even better!! shape the blue tag to hold the head down, finished! late edit: I am not sure, if what I called pericarp, is in fact called testa.... maybe it's still correct, partly, I guess the testa is made out of pericarp and endocarp (spell?)? -
never consumed it other than smoking, so I can't say. definitely, make sure there are no seeds present, as they are poison. I never got sick from smoking, but it feels like datura poppy (a made up term, which tries to say it's spooky), so use only tiny ammounts.

Iboga Seedling Seed coat Question and Advice (Slightly Image Heavy)
planthelper replied to newageshaman's topic in Ethnobotany
I go with all that has been suggested! but I found a new method, I wrote once about already here at sab. 1, react right away with my method, once the seedling pulled there head out of the soil. 2, mist the seed coat with water. 3, jam the seed coat between two small blocks of wood, in a fashion, so that the "head" is still or again pointing downwards. those cube like blocks of wood, ought to be cut, so that the endgrain, is cut with a very slight angle. 4, method, the end grain will stop the seed coat from slipping, the slight angle will hold the seed coat tight. the 2 blocks of wood act like a vice, holding the head down till, the cotyledons slip out of the case. the blocks of wood, basicly act like, the soil does under better circumstances. I go now and make a drawing and will upload it in a while to come. -
I haven't read all the posts yet, but I will in given time. not for legal counsil: if you are a serious cacti collector, and grow those plants, I doubt you will get punished hardly, if they catch you it's likely, they often will let you go with a slap on the wrist. that's because many judges are not stupid, and can well see, that there was no intention of causing harm, by growing those wonderful plants. in the beginnings of this forum, I once posted a story, I read in a sience fiction book (mark brandis die Spiegel erde, title paraphrased) and in this book, all plants have been made illegal, and totally removed from society, the only people who have accsess to nature are, the politicians and the sienticts. mark brandis breaks into the world, which still features nature, and shows the heroine of the book the plants and nature. at the end of the book the heroine, get's executed because the police finds a single harmless leaf in her pocket, her last words are, it was worth it, to see nature. I am lucky to live now...

1, I don't make the rules here. 2, I give most of my things away for free. 3, as often, your reply has no merit.

how to place a hotlink as signature
planthelper replied to planthelper's topic in Site & Forum Matters
I hope other people learn here as well. I just spoke with the technical support and they will send a repair man to my house. and yes, the drive has been partioned, and the pc has a recovery system installed. all is well! -
hi! ok, I did my homework as good as possible and tried to solve the issue, without asking the forum, but failed. I worked out as well, that this is maybe, not a problem caused my my pc. I think, it happens to other people as well, because I noticed some members url's in the signature field, are "grey and don't work as a hot link". I used to be able to add a hotlink to my signature field, and when I wanted to update my signature, instead of being "click able" the url stayed grey and doesn't work as hot link. another member told me, that his toolbar, at the signature field, displays a BBCode mode switch (top left). but my field doesn't display a BBC switch. many members have hotlinks displayed in there signature field, so I don't want to miss out either, please help.

it could be that you can't use the privat message button till, you have reached a certain post count. just post 10 replies or so, and it will work. there are some thread which allowe almost spaming posts, look for them at chill space (youtubevideos, the continuing thread and so on). the reason, you can't send pm's is, because some people abused the system. we are a reciprocal community, this means you can only take out, if you put something in. people who join the forum just to obtain plants, without contributing to the forum, are not welcomed. you could reply to the, what did you do in your garden threads, it's easy and we get to know you, have a nice day.

update! I did find a delete button, and used it. I as well used a report function, what of the two made the trick, I am not sure. I went out after it happened, and had a fantastic evening, with some of my young friends! btw, all this event did, was to empower me, I feel on top of the earth, hehehe. sally, I can understand, how you want a troll now too. I could write a song about trolls in general, but proly not. we give no energy, to energy suckers. one thing though, the troll knows I hang out here at sab (which is easy as I use my real name). thank you all, for your support!

no worries I will not react. I found a button which say's delete comments, but the troll left two replies, and after deleting one (which still shows @ youtube, browser issues??), the software said folder empty, but it's obviously not. maybe the first comment cant be deleted? the report button, only covers the video itself. I think this person must be reported, and obviously knows that I hang out here at sab. anyway, if any of you knows how youtube accounts can get managed, let me know.

no more pm's please, chances are I am sold out.

planthelper plays 12 string, youtube videos
planthelper replied to planthelper's topic in Creativity, Spirituality & Philosophy
the sound is quite bright, I would struggle to describe it, it's just an instrument crafted by hand, and by skill full workers. my Yamaha has a good sound as well but the maton beats it, it's a EM 425C-12 "acoustic electric", and I just noticed all the tradesmen who created this master piece, have left ther initials inside! it's all made out of Australian native timbers, apart from spruce for the sound board. I hardly ever buy myself anything, because i'm a tight ass, so i'm happy regarding what I did. http://maton.com.au/product/425-12-series- 46 replies

planthelper plays 12 string, youtube videos
planthelper replied to planthelper's topic in Creativity, Spirituality & Philosophy
it's not the voice why I stay away from johnny cash, it's the lead guitar sound, which features so prominently, with his songs, and I suck playing lead guitar. I got a big vocal range and can sing even some bass, but mostly I like to sing, in a high pitch, which was so vamous in the disco area (like for example the high pitch voices of the bee gees). but sure, I can't sing as husky as mr. cash. in some of my songs in the play list I do hit some low notes, and I have it planed to, sing my own version, of mozarts osmin, "solche her gelaufen laffen", in acapella. it's a Yamaha FG-4125B, but guess what, as i'm manic currently, I bought myself a MATON 12 STRING!! was not cheap, but it's a super instrument, and much easier to play than the Yamaha with a high jazz neck. I do this because it's on my bucket list, but don't worry, I hope to be around for another 50 years at least... thank you! actualy this take was one of the first times I tried, to combine didgeridoo, guitar and the vocals. this song is still not finished, I introduced two more chords, but I re work music only with big time gaps in between, like this the inspirational powers are much stronger. I make this thread now my what to do list. cover bee gees tragedy how to learn circular breathing, instruction video cover of mozarts osmin, acapella original song, dedicated to liz, "butterflies in my tummy" aka the last kiss. people please, post a comment with this song @ youtube, I promise I will answer every question, and it would help me to get more views. GIVE ME AS WELL A THUMBS UP (comments are now enabled), THANK YOU.- 46 replies

I can give you a sample for free, just pm me. I bio essayed the lactuca, a while ago, and used the same dish for my new extraction... this means I don't know yet how good the new material will be. the material will not be ready for another week or so. I can as well send you a sample of argemone.

it's time Australia followes America, regarding free speech (first amendment). here is a very short tek. today, I leave all my dyslexic mistakes un corrected... 1, haverest the material and put it in a stove pot. 2, add hot rain water, and boil/simmer for 3 or more hours. use a stick to macerate the material. 3, strain the hot contents of the pot through a sieve, into another pot. don't use glass it will break, unless lab ware, and even then... 4, wait for the liquid to cool down a bit. 5, and than filter it, through a pet bottle. use toilett paper as filter (fold and roll up, around 5 shhets, into a plug and place into the bottle neck). 6, pour the filtered liquid into a vaporation plate/vessel. to avoid fungus growth, and to hasten evaporation, heat up the, evaporation dish once a day, or more. 7, you can get rid of more sediment, if you store the filtered liquid, for 7 days in the fridge. after 7 or less days, you decant the clear liquid off, being carefull to leave the sediment behind in the vessel. 8, onec the plate has dried of, the gooie material is ready for use. a glss pin head, sized portion is big enough for one dose. be carefull, it might be stronger than you think, unless you have opiate tolerance, but even than, hold on to your seats.

I think I would have invented new swear words having to learn, "new how to click", so it's all good now. i often read here firefox is the best browser, so i know your advice was sound. sometimes, similar programs can create some issues, in my case it's, the software of various digital cameras, and the similar software, which was already installed on the pc. btw, my pc came without discs, and has no, "set back to factory settings button" i will contact manufactura (acer) and ask them to send me the discs?
