hi *g8lolA6?,i cant help you with the aussie side of things, but would gladly buy your spach crest off you and could always gift a cutting back to you when you return to nz. im very close to purchasing my own property here in nz and will be planting it out entirely in cacti and cycads-palms and nz natives. san p

It's funny how you have all the same crests and monstrose as me hehe (except you have many of each, whereas I stopped at one or two) yeah i admit it was some of your old threads that inspired me,still chasing some others youve posted pics of too.

the beast of a billion pups alright its a cereus ? monstrose, the history is it was grown from seed by a top nz cactus nursary here in nz.they seemed to think might be a rare form of c peruvianus monstrose, but ive come to think its a cereus fernambucensus monstrose. if anyone else has any idea of what it is id love to hear it. san p

correct me if im wrong but, isnt cloning plants something done on a industrial level in labs where they take some plant tissue and multiply it by the thousand (i dont know how they do it).and cuttings have incorrectly just gained the term clone. like the apple variety "pacific rose" which came from one single branch of a completly different apple tree variety, it shows cuttings often will not be identicle to its mother.

thanks for the replys.yeah cocalero() it would be cool if it does pup again underneath the damaged pup ,fingers crossed! your tbm collection look good too. cheers
-
one of my tbm's was nice enough to throw out 3 pups from one knob this spring, the first pup to break out has had the growing point eatin off by some kind of tiny little flea like insects. its been a few weeks since then and as you can see in this second pic it has stopped growing and now been over taken by the younger pups. so what do you think it will do now, just rot off or somehow grow on? cheers san p

we have had similar bans on bongs here in nz for probably 10years now.however the only thing that really changed was that headshops are now selling bongs labelled as "vases" and the stem and cone are sold seperatly, sometimes labelled as incence holders. base pipes have a total ban in nz and most headshops refused to stock them before it was inforced anyway.

ok thanks,so that rules out l.caespitosa. can anyone confirm if any other lophs fall under the grouping of l.williamsii? cheers
