    Herbarium

i think you will find most brugs in melbourne to be cultivars and hard to key out, many are hybrids. if you need 6 species from the same genus, can only think of Solanum
  2. no experience sorry, but just skimming over those abstracts i would be investigating options other than GA3 GA3 > delay flowering, decrease flower yield, reduce fruit size and # of viable seeds CPPU > precocious flowering

    Isotoma petraea tissue culture

I think it's going well for my first project! Here's first plant after a month or so hardening off, tis setting up a few reproductive organs already . deflasked a few from the variegated line but they all crapped out in a few days. Any tips on deflasking variegated plants DL? i imagine they may require some nutritional support.. will get around to a lit search at some stage, TC project been on backburner for a couple weeks now due to less interesting committments few more on the way. The empty cells were variegated, and up the back are a few L. tupa.

    Isotoma petraea tissue culture

a very simple "protocol" was used, in fact the plants shown above were grown in 1/2 MS media from all stages from seed germination to deflasking. I am doing some experiments with BAP to see if I can increase shoot multiplication.

    Sweet basil is a carcinogenic

just reading a different paper analysing leaves of small plants, found younger leaves had fairly low levels of methyl eugenol. (percentages from basal leaves (22% methyleugenol) to folded tip leaves(0.36)) Methyl eugenol 22.17 12.20 5.50 2.40 1.20 0.36 1,8-cineole 22.20 22.40 22.10 22.00 19.10 21.80 Linalool 6.25 11.05 17.53 21.24 21.45 24.01 Eugenol 5.51 8.68 10.12 11.28 10.41 13.33 also if anyone can find any Rf values for TLC'ing methyl eugenol for that would be ace

    Raising A.Phlebophylla

Pretty happy with how this 3.5 year old is going. Really wish I had've germinated more seed at the time! Germinated in native potting mix with a bit of propagating sand added, repotted thrice into straight commercial native potting mix. Was getting rather rootbound in its last pot, since repotting it has pumped out a shitload of new phyllodes.
  18. hey frank, been seeing these a bit along train lines recently, I do beleive they're likely to be P. dubium
