Hi Rhyzobium, Buttsack said you may be able to trade or sell A. courtii seeds? I will have some P.viridus seeds soon and have just picked some M. speciosa which are viable as I have obtained young plants before but the died at about 3 cm stage. I am not sure how they would go in Tasmania though? kKeep growing, john S

Many thanks for the detailed instructions. They look like they should work. The temp and humidity are both high here at the moment so I will try without heat mat first. I have managed to get the seeds out while they are formed but still slightly green. Thanks for passing this on.

I have been trying to germinate the seeds but with only minimal success. Do you mind sharing how you get yours to start please? The only time I have succeeded is when I threw a handful of pods into soil and about 3 germinated. I have been watching them on damp paper but have seen no change. Do you treat your in any way? I am starting out with shroom growing. I see a lot of recipes for agar. I have mycelium growing in straight agar. Should I use a mix? When peroxide is used is that just for sterilizing or is it included in the agar mix. sorry to be so ignorant. john S / Nimshie29

Many thanks for the clear response. I just prepared some agar from a health food shop boiled with water - nothing else. I will try H2O2 as suggested in the mix next go. Mine have started to grow but are moving very slowly after 2 weeks. Maybe I 'm used to rapid growth in the tropics.

Hi Guys, i have read up on A.longifolia and it is supposed to have about 0.2%. I have also seen an article that casts doubt on this. Does anyone know or has anyone extracted from this species? I have about 80 young plants but do not want to plant them close by if they are not going to produce the spirit molecule. If they are useful for this I will have some to give away. I have about 100 Acacia ready to plant around the parks close to where I live as I live in A oldies complex and have limited control of the common garden area and am running out of room in my small yard.
