Pumice washes up on beaches around here quite a lot, about 2 years ago there was so much of it. I collected loads of bucketfuls after sieving sand, but I gave up after one trip as it needed a lot of washing to get rid of the salt.

I think it's a longifolia. They are really variable in form from place to place, even locally here they can vary from the sophorae type form to ones that look identical to obtusifolias. I think they even cross breed. I collected seeds from a definite obtusifolia and the tree I grew out just flowered over winter at the same time as longis, with really bright yellow flowers.

I guess a home kit could tell you whether it's h or synthetic at least, so you could be on guard if it shows up as fent.

I'm looking to buy bulk qtys of plastic tubes and small pots to deal with the growing army of seedlings I have at the moment. It's just not economical to buy them retail anymore, I just have too many. Where do you guys source wholesale pots and forestry tubes? I was looking at danbar plastics, they seem to have a good range at OK prices. Any good suppliers you've dealt with before? And when I say bulk, I'm talking about hundreds not thousands, maybe next year...!
