I'd have to agree with MS smith, I'd say something to do with vascular connect or something sciency like that.

Its normals, just something tasting the cacti, then coarking over. Sometimes if it gets bad I will seperate the affected plant and scrub off the insects with a toothbrush and let it recover in isolation.

WSS is a drop shipper so chance are they were bulk korhes or SS brand. They have beed doing SS seeds for a while but I think the still get their bulk from Korhes. In anycase where ever he got em they turned out excellent, with great genetic variety but not too crazy. Grate Job!

OK I have some spare cuts of Trichocereus Bridgesii cut from Granada Hills, CA. One is a skinny looking normal sized heavy blue and heavy monstrose version, the other is a bridgezoid looking trich. Shaped like a fat pach, but puts off Bridgesii spines. Don't have pics but I know I have at least 2-3 cuts to give away. You pay shipping. First to post gets first dibs. Question? Do they have to be our personal pics? Or can we just scan the web looking for random pics? I just ask cause I've seen many of these pics on ebay and on google images many times before. If we can just grab anyones pics I'm gonna fire up the flux cap. and head to the way back machine.

No problem, we got as many suspected PC cuttings as possible, then grew them all side by side in exact conditions. You could obviously see some were the same, but then you could obviously see some were different, and had bigger rib dropping, different spine colors, just slight little differences. We had some that looked like the SS hybrid to ones that just screamed PC and the things look like the back of an alligator. By no means are we botanist or scientist, just a theory we had and as much testing as possible. Also most of the PC varieties would get these lil bug bites about 2 inches down from the top. Yet almost none of my CV's got them. I'll try to grab you some pics, I have a few I think would show the big differences.

I have nothing for or against him but his cacti are hardly deals at $100+ for a 2 footer. You can't rely on ebay searchs and notifications. I constantly get emails and notifications saying ending now, I click it and it ended 2 weeks ago. Also we have the problem of ebay just not picking up all the listings. Many times we have to hit the worldwide and refresh button a couple times and do seller item searches and you find all kinds of stuff that wasn't listed. Further more Zircon is selling basic PC pach, X amount of Peru's he cuts into hundreds of cuttings along with many other things. But his ID's don't seem to match. For instance he was selling some Scops last year that wern't even close to being scopes. And while he has lots of inventory and has those 2 foot rooted cuts for $100, he doesn';t have that much genetic variety which is what many of us are after. I like 2-3 foot cuts too but they cost a lot of money when coming from a reputable source and of a rare DNA.

I realized in about 30 days the cactiphile people are a special kind of crazy. I've discussed it with many people but of all the groups and forums out there. Cacti people seem to have about 5 beers short of a 6 pack. So grow a thick skin!!

Dad was 1st Lt of firebase in nam I think he had a silver star and an Oak Leaf Cluster?. He just died of Liver cancer that spread to lung etc... Diagnosed in Feb, dead in Sept. Worked till the day he keeled over. They all suspected agent orange too but couldn't prove it. Thanks Dow!

We've been doing research in the US between a couple of us and have come to the same conclusion that there are many forms of PC pach floating around. As far as the t. Rio's I have 2 samples, 1 looks identicle too MS Smiths, and 1 is similar with just a lil longer spines. In no way do either look PC though as far as US PC standards.

I have this on 4 seed grown SS02 x Kimura's Spiny Giants. 1 Looks like a short spines Peru with baby blue hue, 2 and 3 look like normal big spined peruvians but thiner spines, and 4 is jsut a honker beast with 4 inch spines all thick as heck. Looked like a bridgesii with about 10 spines on an areola.

I have a psycho/superpedro seed, and have seen many seed grafts of both crosses. Almost 99% or the time the Super Pedro x Psycho produce small spines like a Juuls x Jack, whille 99% of the time the psycho x super pedro is putting off long bridgesii spines by 4 inches. I would love to confirm with everyone that they are posting super pedro x psycho'/s and not vice versa. I've seen many sellers make this mistake on many hybrids. Just something to keep in mind.

I have this same mutation on a Koerhes Bridgesii, So far its put out 4 double/tripple spined areola's that stick out like that. Was hoping to find another with same mutation to X it with.

One of my lil crests. I call him "Last of the Mohicans" Still small about 1.5 inches . I also have a more brocolli style crest that goes from one side to the other but its knobby as heck. I'll try to take some good high res pics tomorrow. This is a bonafied pure pachanoi.
