Okay my turn. Ghost story and psychic/coincidence. Ghost story. I was 12 and living on phillip island (lots of action in this thread, reprezent!). Woke one night to find a man on a ladder in my room, painting the wall and giving me this big glare. I assumed he would go away as i woke further but rubbing my eyes and light slapping of the face only served to infuriate painter man, and he looked angrier and angrier, especially after i threw my pillow through him. I went to the light switch and fumbled and couldn't find it without looking, so i looked away for a second and hit the switch and looked back- he was gone. Never to return either, though i always worried he would because he freaked me out. Telepathic powers. The other day a friend (whose second language is english) calls me and asks me if i had any weed. i told him i did not. After hanging up he texts me saying "my classmate overhear the conversation, he sell weed, what a wonderful day!". This is all well and good but i got this distinct impression that the guy selling was french. or african. No, both; definitely a black frenchman. I later met up with this friend and he showed me the weed (very good stuff which only bolstered my assumption) and asked him "hey what's the guy's name who you got this from?". Pierre. "So he's French, obviously, is he a black guy?" He is! Merci Pierre!

Hey Greg I totally support this idea. I wish i still lived in Camberwell! A psychedelic drop-in centre would be a very cool place to hang out. What side of town would you think? Personally I would try to put such a venue in a more trendy location with less pompous rich people. I know these are the kinds of people who need convincing but i think that should come later, after establishing a stronghold, rather than move in on their turf from the get-go. That being said I'm so glad the movement is attaining such momentum and attention. It's time to stop substance- and spirituality-based discrimination!

Some people aren't very good at DoubleThink: their brains rebel against incongruous ideas, such as a plant being legal if it has roots and illegal if it does not. Makes no fucking sense to me either! (braces for hate) edit: oh on topic, the only movie i have seen at the cinema lately is iron man 3, and i really cannot be strong enough in recommending it be avoided. it would be easier and more enjoyable (and have almost the same level of explosions and robots) if you just watched number 1 and 2 at the same time. super crap. i also didn't like the Avengers, but Thor is fucking awesome. Best combined with mushroom sauce. mmm. can't wait for the sequel~!

Hello all, I hope your sundays are more pleasant than mine. I also hope someone can offer me advice. Recently I got picked up by those pretend police that patrol the trains in Melbourne for having my feet on the seat. Although I think this is a bullshit law that doesn't cause anyone any injustice (the train was empty and my feet were socked and clean), I still concede that I knowingly broke the law and got caught. (It sucks because I was even hyper-paranoid and looked for 'speccies at every stop! Bastards sneaked up on me!) Anyway: they also got me for "failing to produce a valid ticket". Now this time it is pure bullshit because I did indeed have a valid ticket; I don't fare evade because I am a heavy supporter of public transport. What happened was: i used myki (the electronic ticketing system which is now the only option in Melbourne) at the station immediately prior to boarding the train, as per usual. However when the inspector scanned my ticket with his little scanner thing, it said I had not touched my ticket at the station. However I did, and I had also used it immediately prior which should have also been good enough. The part where it gets really tricky is that the fines were due today (even though it's a Sunday, and you have to pay at post offices, and as Vernon Dursley says "There's no post on sunday!"). I forgot about them until today :S. Further, I cannot possibly afford to pay either of the $207 fines because my bank account is -$150. I want to submit a claim to have the matter reviewed, but this must be done by post, by the due date. Tomorrow I will seek legal counsel at my university, but for the time being: does anyone have any ideas? I really don't want both fines to go up by 100 dollars. I will be very sad. Thanks for your time. edit: PS I now live in Sydney, I don't suppose my interstate fines will just disappear will they....?
