  1. My name is the name I use to perform and write music with. I'd toyed around with heaps of names but didn't really have one that stuck. So one day I thought I'd use the letters from my name, Peri, and just rearange them a bit, I came up with Prie and added an extra R to make it sound a bit better. From dictionary.com pri·er also pry·er n. One who pries, especially a person who is unduly interested in the affairs of others. But it's just a name really I'm not one to prie.
  2. I tried doing a search but it came up with nothing. So how do you pronounce Subaeruginosa I've only ever read this word and I've brang it up in conversation heaps of times, but it never sounds quite right.

    Ethnobotany

For me it all started when I was 12, it was my first year of highschool and in Health class we were on the topic of drugs. For an assignment we had to research using the internet, this is where I stumbled up on Erowid. For the next year or so everytime I went near a computer I had to look at erowid. What really interested me was reading people's Salvia and DMT experience reports, they sounded crazy and I felt I must try these things some day. For the next five years I experimented with lots of different chemicals mainly party types drugs, then at Rainbow Serpent last year there was this market stall, I got to chatting to the girl behind the counter and got up the courage to ask if they had any DMT or Salvia. I tried DMT for the first time that weekend and that is what really got me started on ethnobotanics. I guess I'm still pretty new to this, come to think of it it was my one year anniversary with ethnobotanics last weekend. It was actually my dad that got me onto Shaman-Australis. When I was telling him about my intersts in these things he did some internet searches for me and found out about Shaman-Australis and the Asutralian Free Seed Ring, from there I was hooked.
  4. That's funny as. I'd hate to see him in his summer gear. :D Who's this mosh girl you speak of?
  5. It was sort of like, an eye covering a wall that was occasionally blinking, with heavy breath sounds and a deep digital rumbling sound underneath that. That's a pretty bad description, but in the flesh it was just awesome.
  6. I'm down for trying something new as long as i know what's in it.
  7. I saw one of her exhibitions in Melbourne a few years ago, it blew me away. It was one of her pieces that got me onto the idea of doing soundscapes for visual artists.
  8. I added another track about a week ago. It's a very different to the previous stuff I posted about. This one is a down tempo experimental piece. It is my most recent work. Enjoy. Prier's Music
  9. $32 *edited. changed my bid as I won't be near a computer till the auction ends.
  10. I managed to get down on Friday. Fucking awesome party, was definitely the best party I’ve been to in ages. The new site was great, heaps roomier and the chill stage was heaps closer to everything this year. There was massive market area again this year, heaps of cool things to buy. I also noticed the happy high market stall has been getting heaps more Shaman Australis products lately.
  11. I've tried the dry form and didn't get much affect what so ever, yet I’ve heard people rave on about it before. So are the effects from fresh to dry considerably different?
  12. My FOAF bought some somewhat illegal, but rather obscure things from an overseas company (before thinking it through) and they arrived without a problem. Since then they haven't bought anything illegal from overseas. I remember about a year ago I heard about someone ordering sally off eBay without a problem. I'm not saying it's possible, just my experience. I wouldn't recommend it at all.
  13. AH, I just found out my lift isn't going till saturday, if anyone's heading up late friday and has a spare seat could you please send me a PM or contact me on 0405 834 169. Thanks.
  14. My first thought was terscheckii, but I don't know all that much. I'm sure M S Smith or someone will ID it better than me.
  15. I can't wait, Rainbow has got to be one of my favourite festivals.

    HPPD

I'm only young and I’ve only been taking psychedelic drugs for a few years. About six months ago when I was smoking pot really heavily and taking acid & DMT ('dreamtime', nothing too strong) fairly frequently I began to think I had developed HPPD. It really scared the shit out of me, so I stopped smoking & stopped taking acid. It's gotten so much better now that I’m not even sure it was their in the first place. I now take psychedelics a very rarely and I haven't had any problems with it. I plan on trying some new things over the coming months, and am slightly worried this might be a problem. I'm just curious if anyone has had experience with this or knows anything about it?
  17. I guess this is kind of related. I always hear about people complaining that it's really hard to do research on psychoactive chemicals because the majority of the time they are illegal. Is anyone doing really extensive research on what still remains legal such as Salvinorin are some of the other plant based substances?
  18. While on a similar topic. I once heard that the majority of pot around was Sativa but the more I read it sounds lot more likely that it's Indica. Does anyone know what generally circulates around Australia?
  19. Yeah I’ve got to agree with everyone else Talvin Singh and Tabla Beat Science are great.
  20. I'm currently inbetween houses at the moment but as soon as I have my music computer set up again I'd love to start doing this kinda thing.
  21. I used buzz a few years ago but because of the software I was used to using I found it frustrating and I didn't have enough patience at the time. I'll have to give this new one a go, I think I’ve got the patience for it now. I love the fact it is open source, I really don't have the kind of budget that can afford lots of software. Oh, one question does this new one have midi capabilities?
  22. I enjoyed this track, I prefer the earlier parts where you use a break rather than the four to the floor, but I’ve always been a fan of breaks. Just out of curiosity what did you use to write this track?
  23. Thanks for that, I'll have to have a chat to the cacti guy and see what he thinks he seems to really knows his stuff.
  24. I'm downlading it now, i'll get back to you probably next weekend (when i can next use the internet) and give you some feedback. just thought i'd mention also i upladed another track that's a lot more experimental than my last stuff that you might find interesting, mp3.com.au said it would be up in the next 2or3 days so check back if you're interested.
