    Dangers of DMT

As i was reading this thread i was thinking exactly the same thing. i'm glad somebody said it before me, i don't think i would have put it as nicely as that. i can't believe the lack of respect for both the friend and the substance.

Growing Morning Glory - a Question

It’s funny I was going to put up a thread similar to this one. All along my train line in Melbourne (Epping) is something that looks to me like a morning glory, I’ll have to put up a photo once I take one. The plant I’m seeing has predominantly purple with a tinge of blue flowers. I haven't gotten right up close to have a look at one yet. Does anyone know of the plant I’m talking about? It seems to be everywhere.

Richard E. Schultes's book Golden Guide: Hallucinogenic Plants, is what got me really into ethnobotanics, this book looks great i will have to try and get myself a copy.

    career in ethnobotany

Being young I’ve been thinking quite a bit about what I’m going to do career wise, my main two interests being music/sound and ethnobotany/horticulture being that i don't want to live in the city my whole life I thought I’d follow my interest in ethnobotany/horticulture, essentially I’d like to run a nursery specializing in ethnobotanics and medicinal herbs. I was thinking of starting off by doing a traineeship at a nursery or similar. I’m just wondering if anyone had any advice that they could give me, some suggestions at what to study be it now or in the future, or maybe just explain what you did in order to make money in the field ethnobotanics. Hope that's not too much of a vague question.

    career in ethnobotany

Yeah I understand I won't make a lot of money from the ethnobotanics, but I definitely want to get involved in horticulture. I’m also curious if anyone here is making a living off horticulture and how you went about it?
  17. hi. i accidently picked up Dolichothele Albescens after asking for something else a while ago, and didn't realise what i had gotten until i got home. i'm just curious if anyone knows whether it's active or not?

i haven' read a hell of a lot when it comes to ethnobotanics and entheogens. i really enjoyed, plants of the gods & dmt the spirit molecule. I've also read a few books from the online books section of erowid, Golden Guide: Hallucinogenic Plants - Schultes, LSD : My Problem Child - hofmann and a few others.

    Failure

The i'm feeling lucky button simply shows the first link in your search. The following is taken from www.wikipedia.com A Google bomb or Google wash is a certain attempt to influence the ranking of a given page in results returned by the Google search engine. Due to the way that Google's PageRank algorithm works, a page will be ranked higher if the sites that link to that page all use consistent anchor text. A Google bomb is created if a large number of sites link to the page in this manner. Google bomb is used both as a verb and a noun. See Spamdexing for the practice of deliberately and dishonestly modifying HTML pages to increase the chance of them being placed close to the beginning of search engine results, or to influence the category to which the page is assigned in a dishonest manner.

    getting started

i'm pretty new to the growing thing. i'm after some hints and tips for growing some plants and cacti. reccomendations for books and what are the essential supplies i'll need. I have several trichocereus, phalaris which has just sprouted, a sally d, catnip, wormwood and lions tail plants. i have a basik understanding of growing techniques but i really need some pro advice. currently i've got most of my plants in a lightbox but it's getting crowded and i'll need to move some outside, but i'm worried the weather will kill some things, what can i do to protect them? getting started

Yeah after I posted this I did think it might have been a bit vague, sorry. I’ve been lurking on these forums for a couple of months now, thanks for the basic tips that's the kind of stuff I need. As for the climate I live in Melbourne currently. Is it best to bring cacti inside when it’s raining a fair bit? I left my first pachanoi outside during the rain for a couple of days once and it got pretty bad root rot, not knowing why it wasn't growing I left it for quite a while till I read up and found out what was wrong with it, I’ve taken it out of the ground an cut back where it was rotting it's currently just inside hardening up again before I repot it but no matter how much of the rot I seem to cut off it seems to appear again, is there something maybe I’m doing wrong? What would be a good plant food to use with my cacti and how often should I feed them? I’ve flicked through growing the hallucinogens on erowid, and I can't afford to buy the psychedelic plant encyclopedia (it’s $225 at my local bookstore) are there any other books that would be good for just all round psychedelic plant growing info? sorry for all the questions, i'm just really new to this and you guys all seem to really know what you are doing.
