    rooting a blue over winter

look, i destroyed most of my cacti because of the law changes years ago. one specimen i kept, is what some people here call a true blue. mine fell over by it's own weight (the bastard sneeked a tap root, through the decking into the soil, very smart on behalve of the cacti!!) and i had to cut it into sections to rescue it and avoid injury to me (fell over my decking). i am recovering from surgery, and can't to as much in my garden as i would like to... once the cut's are dried up and ready for planting, could i plant them and root them over winter (in other words right now) or wait till spring? i hate to plant callused sections which are old, they don't root as fast and as well, as perfectly timed ones. pls advice me, but only if you have experience about this subject, in the same climat zone as mine. if uou live in a cold climat don't respond with advice as it could be wrong, unless you have lived in my climat zone, and have moved somewhere else now. my feeling is to plant them out soon, and keep one section for spring and learn from this scenario. i get frosts some years over winter, but day time tems can be quite high even in winter.

    rooting a blue over winter

UPDATE: i used dried searls seed raising mix as medium. and to avoid the sections from, moving i, simply leaned them against the rim of the pots. i might add that, i was very unlucky at times with my pedros, as once i rented out my place, and when i came back all my pedros had dissapeared...

    Caapi response to cold

i have grown two different caapi at my place, both planted into the ground, both survived mild frosts, even without protection. and i agree with sagi, you, "topic starter be clear" when asking a question. they don't even get upset like many other plants, once it gets cold (not even frosting) for the first time. my theory is that, the cold weather is not harming the plant, BUT HARMING BENEFICAL BACTERIA AND FUNGI IN THE SOIL, AND ENCOURAGING BAD BUGS IN THE SOIL. LIKE FUSARIUM WILT.

because, it's a very small seed, we could asume, it losses viabilety within 7 weeks. but ther are many other factors at times at play. i tell you mostly what i know of 1st hand sources... gomoas had a big kratty tree in bris, it was a rifat, sourced from me, he told me (maybe 18 years ago)e he just sprinkled the seeds (and all the other stuff surrounding the mitragyna seed capsule. onto potting mix, and used a dome, and many sprouted.

i learned a lot from sab, and know how viable kratom seeds look like, but my tree doesn't produce viable seeds often, i think thats because of lack of water. as, i said kratom cuttings are easy, if taken in spring, or early season. iv'e taken many mitragyna cuttings, and at times the one's i though are not so good, took root, the best (tip cuttings of fast growing vigorous tips). i learned heaps, regarding probagation from this plant, so have many others.

    The good vibes generator

it often amazed me, how many of us here, are soooo sientific, but still, hold belives like "a soul survives death" or the "good vibes generator". forgive me if i have posted as i will follow, already... think of me like grand dad simpson, who repeats his stories. the good vibes idea, reminded me of a story in the bible. and if any of you know the story, please give reference. so i don't believe jesus was the son of god, neither to i believe in a creator god. the parable: jesus is asked, so if you heal somebody, do you have to be present, when you heal them? jesus replies, no, they don't even have to know, i send them my healing.

john, if you read this, give us more info, regarding you, using fentanyl patches. i once cared at time for avery old man, and pallative care, put him onto fentanyl patches, i think he dieded from fentanyl, by him stopping breathing. he's death was un noticed for a while, allthough, he sat with one of his cares on the same table. i feel privileged to have had fantanyl once in tablet form, it was better than endo... kratom, we protect, i believe herb plants will make a comeback, and in the future, will be, held even within the pharma sience world, as a better alternative to pills.

    Tabernaemontana divaricata

it's a very common plant, sold in large and small garden centers. it's avery common plant, in our gardens and at puplic spaces, managed by you local councils. most of us sab people would not probagate it because, other plants need more help. this plant is not endagered, most of what we do here is to save, and protect, rare plants, with bio active compounds. tabernaemontana, doesn't conatain dmt in apreaciable ammount, so most of us only grow it as a fragrant plant in our gardens... buy it at the nursery, thank you.

maybe you could get a red, from your seed, yes! but some horticulturist, i spoke to about this, said it's unlikely. but i believe the original claim, rifat can produce deep red veined kratom trees!! i never germinated my own rifat seeds. but knew experienced people, who did. my location dosn't favor mitragyna, brisbane people get more often good seeds, from this tree. imagen, when tort and darklight, worked with this seed, only one seedling emerged or survived!! dl, is a tissue culture expert, and always shared her personal sientific knowlwedge, regarding her pioner work!! kratom is an incredible plant with enormous potential, helping us humans and animals, trapped on this rock. forgive my phonetic spelling, i display, mild dyslexia. and some people hate me here, because "you loser" is spelled with only one "O", and not like you loose.

    M.speciosa leaf cutting

if you got it from tort, 25 years ago, than it is the rifat, a semi green variety. no, i have heard stories that, the seeds rifat produced, created a deep red veined variety!!? there are also reports of another deep red (almost going toward purple) strain in oz, this one has a different leaf shape compared to our rifat. some people think the "red" strains are more potent. and yes it's a fast grower, most of my trees died from lack of water, but the one close to the septic survived. it even survives mild frosts!! so john you got a rifat!

moderate your lingo topic starter, hehehe, no all is well... you blame the seeds! and used "name calling". but it's you who is the fussy fucker, because you are, expressing a strong opinon. without having, educated, youreselfe first!! further you gave hardly any info, regarding what you have tried, in the past to make them germinate. you got two options now, get shirty with me or to heed! cimi, i think i remeber you now, i think you are allright

let me side track a lil... when the law changed, and i could not sell or give away many, of my, bio active plants, i noticed as followes, and fellow saber's said the same. if you can't give your cacti and leafy plants the "love" that you want to give them they will, not grow well. i was traumatised by the blanket law, tort would have suffered even far more, an ozzie tv channel did run a viscious attack against him... time will tell that "we are the heros", the protectors of rare plants, and a paradime shift will happen. "we are the one protecting endagered plants and cacti, "we are the ones" who will be praised in the future, for our actions! long life to all ethnobots, on this planet!
