I thought it was an acacia anyway - the leaves/phyllodes are furry? so maybe not

im no acacia pro by any means, but

Acacia aulacocarpa is found from North to south east coast

Acacia disparrima and concurrens are native to SE QLD and Nrth NSW

All look like holosericea (from northern Australia), but perhaps with slightly narrower phyllodes on them all, so i would probably also tag it as holosericea.

Being in Brisbane, is might be worth having a look at concurrens and disparrima as well. I find acacias amongst the hardest to ID

my own limited research, seems to suggest this plant contains alkaloids, similar to 3-meo dmt , but very lil of it!
