Red Indo Krat Getting Purple

MeanGreen

My Red Indo kratom seedlings are getting some really nice purple fall colors with the end of the season temp drops. Definitely a genetic thing as my other Green Malay, Red Malay, Rifat seedlings and Bumblebee clone didn't do the same.

Definitely was helped by cold weather, but my other genetics did not change color at all. Those Red Indo seedlings have always been especially red, here's a pic from last year:

hmmm...I didn't really think Kratom varied that much in leaf colour, with the Red, Green, white strains being mostly arbitrary other than in ingested effect. Mine have had this type of colouring at various stages (and more so in winter)...but never that red underneath.
