Sallubrious Posted May 18, 2015 I was just reading through that PDF and noticed that Australian red cedars are sometimes attacked by borers. So it seems that they don't have the protective phytochemicals like the northern hemisphere red cedars. I was always under the assumtion that they were the same genus as the northern hemisphere trees but I was way off the mark there.
