Anodyne
I don't think this one is good enough for looking at spores (it's only 150x), but I still thought it was pretty cool for a portable pocket microscope & nerdy fun stuff: Turn your smart phone or tablet into a powerful microscope with the 150x magnification Micro Phone Lens.I got a much weaker snap-on macro lens for the phone & it was still good enough for stuff like this:
Laila
cool. ive got a little pocket one but wondering - what do u think of the ones in the link above?
Anodyne
From what I've seen/read of the droplet lenses (video & reviews, never used one), they take a bit of skill to get a clear image, and you'll get a fair bit of blurring around the edges no matter what. I think it's nifty because it's so tiny (= very portable + not cluttering up my house with another cool toy) & has great magnification for its size, but I doubt it's a substitute for a serious microscope. Laila
i ended up going with amscope but a diff model. this one 》http://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemDescV4&item=200838534833&category=48741&pm=1&ds=0&t=1432868259951 i like the idea of led and is cheaper. im keen for one with the extra 20x eyepiece that goes up to 2000x because i want to have the 800x option over 400/ 600. i doubt ill bother with the 2000x as itll be nothing pretty colours to me Edited May 30, 2015 by Laila
