Horizon Posted May 2, 2013 Hey guys can some help me verify this acacia. South east queensland, open bush/scrub area in the foothills of a mountaionous national park. The seed pods though not in the pictures are very curly and trunk is a very clean grey colour with a few splits on the 4-5 metre treesCheers

0 Horizon Posted May 2, 2013 No not yet, I posted 2 differnet requests for ID for what looks like the same plant, this one was from the Queensland side of the main range and the other was from the the top of the Range but on the NSW side I ID'd it as a Maidenii but no one here has thrown their hat in yet. Any other ideas would be appreciated.
0 Jox Posted May 2, 2013 Your second pic in both posts is the same photo ! I might be maidenii, you need to get better photos of the phyllode, if you can get some detailed photos of these it will help's a lot with IDing Acacias, also the seed pod. I did see that one in your first post & it looks similar to maidenii but a clearer, closer photo would help. Good luck with working them out.
