Nemisty Posted March 27, 2013 An eye popping amount of D. stramonium, not far from Kim Dotcom's mansion. They actually look intentionally planted and despite the drought they seem to be flourishing.
at0m Posted March 27, 2013 Wow... that takes me back. Back at my old place in semi-rural Southern Africa we used to have HUGE amounts of this stuff. Loads of wild dagga (leonitus) and wattles too. Wonder if Kim's a psychonaut...

El Presidente Hillbillios Posted March 27, 2013 does look like a deliberate planting, i suppose they are tough as nails plants, but my god they would stink
CβL Posted March 27, 2013 (edited) What the heck! What good could an entire garden of Strams do for anyone? (other than nefarious schemes) Edited March 27, 2013 by CβL

Nemisty Posted March 27, 2013 Fortunately I was downwind so I managed to avoid that repulsive aroma. I actually spotted a big individual plant first off just when I was driving. The shape of datura's is so distinguishable and unlike most plants it caught my attention straight away, then I noticed this whole packed area of plants with similar foliage, I couldn't believe it. further into the property where two big commercial greenhouses full of plants so god knows what was going down in there This is the third time I've stumbled across datura growing this summer.

bogfrog Posted March 27, 2013 Holy shimmoley Nice find bud were you rolling about in the patch like a happy puppy who found some stinky roadkill? go check out those greenhouses, you are likely to find a fellow ethnobot if they are planting that much datura.
