bogfrog Posted March 5, 2013 Getting cold here now, i'm tempted to dig one up and pop it back in the greenhouse. Definately feels like autumn now. Great to hear they are self fertile!! I will start much earlier next season, one flower in autumn would be a joy though.

Nemisty Posted April 11, 2013 Sweet avatar boggy! I got a couple more flowers left on my plants to go. Gave them a solid hosing today, dam spidermites have been outta control this summer and we're trying to be organic at our flat. Hosing the plants actually turns out to be the best way I've found to kill those little f*ckers
bogfrog Posted April 11, 2013 Cheers Nem, i wanted to get a pic that wasnt too similar to yours lol Have you tried plant soap on mites? It just smothers the wee tyrants. I've found it to be quite effective. Are your plants setting seed yet?
Nemisty Posted April 12, 2013 Yea I've harvested seed off the one in my avatar which came from trademe but the plants from your seed look like they're still trying to decide if they got pollinated or not.
DeadStar Posted October 8, 2015 (edited) I remember drooling over this plant and its sexy flowers when this thread was going strong. I finally got some double purple seeds to germinate this year and thought i would post here instead of starting my own thread. Im so excited!!! DeadStar Posted October 11, 2015 All off the purple queen datura seeds have germinated now. I will wait until they have grow their first true leaves before i repot them individually. I wish i hadn't just scattered these in the one pot. I didn't have much hope for them. Lesson learnt:-)
