  3. Finally i know why this one hylocereus seedling was so hairy all the time, it was hiding 2 offsets :D
  4. Retwined some bines on taller sticks Scored a Calycanthus floridus to contrast the white of Osmanthus x burkwoodii and Datura wrightii (and ofcourse adding more fragrance)

    Haven't tasted but looks delicious
  10. I propose a new option in account settings to have all reference to the defunct genus name Trichocereus automatically changed to Echinopsis by means of forum software, this to counter any current confusion existing. And to give Echinopsis the credit it rightfully deserves! Don't be a dinosaur! @Evil Genius There exists a certain type of printable glossy paper that you can stick over the title on your book
  11. fungal infection without growing and fighting back (my uneducated guess)
  12. A calcicole, calciphyte or calciphile is a plant that thrives in lime rich soil.[1][2] The word is derived from the Latin 'to dwell on chalk'. Under acidic conditions, aluminium becomes more soluble and phosphate less. As a consequence, calcicoles grown on acidic soils often develop the symptoms of aluminium toxicity, i.e. necrosis, and phosphate deficiency, i.e. anthocyanosis (reddening of the leaves) and stunting. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calcicole
  13. correct me if i'm wrong but i think overall plant rather go without lime, just some tolerate it better then others (giving competitional advantage)
  14. I guess you don't like variegated cacti, well in that case my friend i can offer you this for 20% off on a crate, your cactus will be green again in no time
