Creating an Outdoor Patch for Woodlovers or Subs
Strontium Dawg replied to holymountain's topic in Mycology
My patch didn't fruit yet this winter, and I may have been a little optimistic when I spread out my colonised chips over a fair space. The myc is spreading well however, and I've been wondering if I should add more chips, or if this will postpone any chance of fruiting this winter...maybe hold off til spring and see what happens? -
How's the mint d00d? I was thinking of getting some myself.

The berries are prone to mould in my experience, but yeah, maybe bleach or peroxide would stop that.
-
I think you probably want to get them started as soon as you can. But if not, at least rub the seeds out of the berries.

I loved the line about governments and coercion due to their "monopoly on violence". -

The rise & fall of Silk Road- fascinating article
Strontium Dawg replied to PositiveHAL's topic in Chill Space
I spent an hour or so reading this yesterday when I was bored at work, a very good piece. -
Hey Ban Man, got my pack today, you don't seem to have a trading rep topic, so I'll just tell everyone how nice and fresh and well packed they are right here!

You'll be fine in coffs, welcome aboard!

And btw, she looks ok, nothing to be too concerned about.

Ideally you want to give her some rootspace, preferably in the ground, but if you can't do that then get a bigger pot, like 20 litres or more. It will save you having to keep repotting it. Caapi likes rootspace. Keep up the water, but don't drown her, and a fertiliser with some good amounts of N will help her when it warms up a bit. Not sure where you live but they dont like it too cold.

Trichocereus Australia Seed List 2015!
Strontium Dawg replied to interbeing's topic in Seed & Plant Sales
Nice crosses. -
If you live in a really cold frosty climate, and you know you're in for an overnight freeze, put a polystyrene cup over the tips of your cacti to protect them.
