strangebrew Posted March 11, 2006 Well I'd like to see close-ups of the tips of the different pachanoi strains and also know whether any of the flowers have had black hair rather than grey.
chilli Posted March 11, 2006 (edited) Here's a link to a photo of some of my collection: http://www.shaman-australis.com/forum/inde...wtopic=8924&hl= I'll try and take some photos of the tips and upload them this week. faslimy Posted March 12, 2006 not really sure if this is considered a pedro, it has always had short spines for me until this pup...
planthelper Posted March 12, 2006 thats what is called a trichocereus macrogonus (nickname cyms or clymes) arround here.
strangebrew Posted March 12, 2006 I'd be thinking macrogonus for that as well but I can see why you thought mum was a pachanoi. ^_^
gerbil Posted March 12, 2006 I'd be thinking macrogonus for that as well but I can see why you thought mum was a pachanoi. ^_^ wow that is one sexy looking trich faslimy. Do you mind posting some pics showing all the branches in full? Is it a single main column with the one branch? Absolutely beautiful mate, I can't stop my dribbling. zee_werp Posted March 12, 2006 This one had black pubes...it's the clone we've been calling Juul's giant. Though how Juul's giant would have ended up in NZ I do not know. Perhaps it is simply the same (as yet unidentified) species as Juul's. Came from a cactus nursery labelled as T. pachanoi. Photo taken 11 Feb '06.
strangebrew Posted March 12, 2006 So in the other thread where you said A friend has a group of pedros, and at least two of them opened on a new moon, producing naturally pollinated seed. Z, did you mean Trichocereus or pachanoi?
zee_werp Posted March 12, 2006 I meant T. pachanoi....or at least what I believe to be that! Had grey hairs, as opposed to the one in the pic above. Very similar to this one.
