apothecary Posted November 8, 2005 So around when I first got into cacti, I found these lovelies sitting in my friends backyard obviouly wanting a new pot. I badgered him about potting them up, until he said "why don't you do it!"...so I did! :D About a week ago now I got a message from him saying "damn hippy and your magic fingers, those cacti you potted up have flowered for the first time since I ever remember". I asked him to take photos, and here they are.

zee_werp Posted November 9, 2005 Cool! That was my first ever cactus as well. Got it back when I was about 8 when I'd gone to the garden centre with my mum and thought it looked pretty crazy with all those tendrils. Then when I was 10 I made a bunch of hyper tufa pots and planted the pups of it in them and sold them at a market across the road, made a bit of cash! Archaea, is that name synonymous with Lobivia silvestrii? Cause thats what I had ID'd it as. They are great little cacti, so readily pupping and flowering.
