nabraxas Posted November 6, 2002 i've always known there were other psyiliocybe shrooms out there apart from gold tops, but when do they come up? g.tops seem to come up w/the first rains as the ground temp. warms up; around the queens b/day w/end. do these others fruit at the same time? if not, when? what conditions are we looking for? nabraxas Posted November 7, 2002 for the sake ov argument over exact names- yes, i've picked them. in the UK liberty caps come out at the end ov summer, in the autumn. are there species in aus that come out in autumn?- or do they all tend to come up in spring like 'gold tops'? For cubies im not sure but warm and wet (not liley thius year) from vic to NT in cow paddocks around old cowpats in the long grass

spiders Posted November 9, 2002 Ive been shown some pan cyans that were picked in Victoria, but im not sure of the exact location. Most of the mushrooms in the southern states are as reville suggested - autumn/winter fruiters
