gerbil Posted September 30, 2004 just had to laugh at this, While in custody he appeared to believe he was a pirate at sea and was using a rolled-up magazine as a telescope. Thanks for sharing that flip. National Poison Centre specialist Lisa Matthews said ingesting a plant containing the toxin mescaline - the active ingredient in some common garden plants - was like playing "Russian roulette". geez, give us a break...what a specialist she must be, nice one lisa. Torsten Posted October 1, 2004 other papers claimed this to be a datura story. I wonder if it was in fact datura and this specialist is even dumber than dumb.
Rev Posted October 1, 2004 UnFugging believable The person who wrote that must be the same guy Hunter S thompson listened to at the narcotics conference in "Fear and loathing in las vegas" "post-hallucinogen perception disorder" ha! If i had a dollar... Of course there is the possibility they made a Cimora with brugmansia I rememebr a while back in perth some guys went on a weeklong binge with Pedro and 1 ended up in the psychward Immediately everyone was a bit scared cos mescaline got the blame and we thought the good times with the nurseries selling it was over, and none more than the place selling it! At least while i was there after they didnt sell anymore after that However nothing seems to have come of it and good too as whatever happenned isnt likely to be due to the Pedro due to the strong liel;hood that there would hae been tolerance after a few days a fact the medicos also admitted themselves in confusion. Maybe thats why nothing came of it I also heard a story about a kid who swallowed his stash of 'DMT" in sydney and was tripping out for hours Theres some very suspec news out there but sad thing is that a rumour is hard to kill even when its totally disproved eg E and 5HT receptors, Vit C killing acid and shrooms, shrooms containing strichynine, LSD and chromosome damage etc etc maybe we need a thread "famous villianies and misinformation" Feel free if your lists longer than that [ 01. Talby Posted October 1, 2004 quote: Twenty-four hours later, 48 hours after taking the substance, the man was still heavily affected by the drug. Doesn't sound like Trichocereus to me... quote: Other chronic effects were prolonged psychotic reactions, similar to schizophrenia, and flashbacks which had been reported to happen up to 10 times a day, most common after 18 months after use. I love the passive voice. Reported by whom? Ten times a day?!?
