Hey, I just picked this guy up. I'm hoping it's a T. spachianus? :D

There appeared to be some white stuff oozing out of the Mammillaria...anyone know what it might be? It smelled sort of chemical like. Kind of odd..

damn thats one sexy mamm... oh did i say sexy, i gotta start refraining from using that word in relation to cacti, ppl keep giving me weird looks ... :-P

Will do smogs. I take it they flower pretty readily? Does the pollen last quite some time?

yar mine did late summer with pretty little flowers... i tryed to self polinate... no good i also tryed with anotehr mamm and no good :)

if u use a cu-tip (cotton bud) and rub it on pollen, put in baggie and store in fridge should alst a year or 2

just wait smogs my mam i thought the same thing and within a week the jelly bean like seed pods developed.

it hasnt shown any signs and its been a month after flowering

yeah it was prolly about jan that mine flowered. fowers shriveled up and fell off dispite my rampant pollenating.
