Ipomoea Pollen

Recommended Posts

Hello all.

It would seem Ipomoea tricolor is not self fertile like I had previously beleived. So all that time I have spent out in my street poking flowers with a Q-tip has been for nothing.

Does anyone have an Ipomoea tricolor/violacea currently in flower? I would LOVE to exchange pollen! Happy to trade or pay!

Kind regards,

HY

I'll try collect some for you but I ripped down most of my vines last weekend.

I can always send you some seeds that will be self fertile if all else fails.

Your in luck, a heap fell out for you. How do I prepare this for shipping? Let it dry a few days in a draw or just post asap? I can't find any desiccant things and my house is old and cold. I can send it off when he post office opens next week if you pm me, can I have some of these hybrid seed in return?

A brizzilian morning glory.. Is that setosa?

Either way I'm keen, I think you can just add equal amounts of bicarb soda to the pollen and store/send it like that.

I'll PM you tonight. :)
