One can't really group the spiritual component into any category, there is far too much variety. Yes, emotional needs and preventative measures are indeed aspects of a spiritual component neglected by large in our society but there are far too many facets and diversity to really make any specific or generalised statement that can actually encompass that. It is always unique to each individual.
