manic Posted January 5, 2015 I went a bit crazy on the camera, much like I did with the corn planting in September. These were planted on Sept 13. More corn.... And then some..... Got some giant pumpkins that are really starting to crank now aswell.... Oh and I just had to put this awesome looking sunflower in there aswell. Seed was given to me as a freebie from zed240, cheers bud. So the corn variety is called 'Legend', it is an heirloom in which I save the seed. 100% organic with small amounts of organic slow realease pellets, touch of chook shit and down track from the septic tank! The most amounts of corn cobs on a plant I can find is 5, which is the most I have ever had. Planning on making alot of corn flour with my corn, I have celiacs disease hence cant have normal flour so actually use alot of corn flour. Im thinking next year 10 times more corn and then corn whiskey and/or corn biofuel. So where is the giant pumpkin competition thread???
theuserformallyknownasd00d Posted January 5, 2015 Here's some of the variety I got out of my heirloom maize stuff, doesn't taste as good as my sweet corn tho
manic Posted January 5, 2015 They look great prioritise, I have some of the colourfull stuff glass gem that I have just planted, I am however expecting it to be a bit less tasty as the sweet corn varieities. I sure the animals will make good use of whatever I dont eat anyway. Were those longer more yellow looking cobs grown on much larger plants? I saw someone selling seeds on ebay for giant 10 meter tall corn for some rediculus price.
