FickFackMD Posted August 29, 2014 Howdy, any idea on what these are? I found these growing under some morton bay figs in some wood chips. There were clusters of them and some growing singularly. I think the recent heavy rains made the staining on the caps and when I squeezed one it changed colour in around 20 minutes. They also got pretty battered in my pocket on the bike ride home
0 Berengar Posted August 29, 2014 Where are you located? Either Psilocybe subaeruginosa or P. Allenii.

0 zed240 Posted August 29, 2014 I thought P Allenii was only found in a small area of western America. Wouldn't this much more likely just be a P. subaeruginosa?
0 Berengar Posted August 29, 2014 Yeah, as I said, those are definitely subs. I wasnt sure at first because theyre not a common spring find, and I couldnt see his location on mobile version.
