0 zed240 Posted June 16, 2014 have found a few of these ... is it the magic on or a lookalike. thanks heaps. i'd far sooner ask for an ID now than ask for a liver or a kidney sometime later many thanks I think P. Australis is just a synonym for P. Subaeruginosa. (ie, they are one and the same and are usually referred to as Subaeruginosa). I think most people will need better pics to give you an ID on your mushroom though. From what I can see in the pic at the moment I would say NOT subs and don't eat. Yes, Psilocybe australiana is just a synonym for Psilocybe subaeruginosa. That sure doesnt look like Psilocybe subaeruginosa to me. as mentioned need much better pics to ID with. need photos of close-up of gill and stem, the whole mushroom, and habitat shots if possible. Whatever that is looks like its going bad.

0 AndyAmine. Posted June 16, 2014 (edited) They do look a bit like subs so I can see why you were curious but the fact that there appears to be zero blue/black bruising on any of the samples shown is a clear indicator to my eyes that they aren't Subs. 0 obtuse Posted June 16, 2014 My thoughts were that it is a Cortinarius sp. the brownish gills and the slimy cap. potentially toxic.
